FOLLOWING the arrest, last week, of the owner of a Lagos-based hospital, Doctor Babawale Joshua for allegedly mutilating the corpse of a 13-month-old baby boy in his hospital, a 37-year- old woman identified asCordelia Ifechukwude, has alleged that she suffered similar fate at the medical centre.
The Aniocha North, Delta-born mother of five narrated her experience at the No 1 Ajike close, branch of the medical centre, a few metres away from Amje bus-stop, Alakuko, a suburb of Lagos. According to her, “It happened in year 2000 when I took in with my first baby.
I registered at Ayinke House, Ikeja General Hospital, but because I was advised to also register at a clinic very close to our house, I registered at Ajike hospital at Amje bus stop, Alakuko. We lived at Ajegunle bus stop, not too far from the clinic.
The reason we chose Ajike medical centre was because my husband got acquainted with Dr Babawale Joshua, the Chief Medical Director and owner of the medical centre, and in the course of their discussion, he told my husband that he had his first degree in General Medicine and second degree in Public Health at the University of Ibadan. That might have prompted my husband to make up his mind about us registering at his clinic.

My pains and agony
“We trusted him based on the fact that the University of Ibadan has a good record when it comes to medicine. I went for Ante-Natal at the Ayinke House, Ikeja. Around the months of February/ March, I went into labour at about 5pm. My husband was still at work then, so I went to the nearest clinic where I registered, being Ajike medical centre. When he returned around 10pm that evening, my husband rushed to the clinic and met me lying in the theatre. that was around 10 pm.“
Also, on my second day at the clinic, my husband confided in me that as he was taking a walk around the premises that morning while he was waiting for the doctor to come down from his residence and attend to me. He said he saw a dead white cat, tied to an iron protector of one of the windows of the doctor’s main office, with something that looks like a blueink sprinkled on the cat. He said he was shocked at the sight but since he did not know what it meant, he waved it off and concentrated on my safe delivery.
“By the evening of the second day, my baby’s kicks had stopped and I could hardly walk. But the nurse kept pressing my stomach and claimed they could still hear my baby’s movements. The doctor also claimed he could still hear the baby’s movement. I was later placed on a theatre table, naked.
The doctor removed my earrings and the rosary I had on my fingers. He sprinkled what he called anointing oil all over me, saying I was a witch and that I did not want to deliver the baby. At the end of the day, the second day passed and I was not delivered of the baby.By the third day, I was no longer able to urinate and my left leg was literally dead. The doctor asked my husband to bring the sum of fifty thousand Naira for a cesarean operation, that the baby was stuck in my womb. That was when it dawned on my husband that if we continued like that, he would not onlylose the baby, but his wife as well. He went and chartered a commercial bus that conveyed us to Ayinke House in Ikeja
.“The doctors at Ayinke were not particularly pleased with us for taking that long to come to them. They initially refused attending to me but whenwe showed them our card which was a proof that we were registered with them, they took me in and carried out a scan which showed the baby had been dead for some time. The report given after examining my condition was that Dr. Babawale did a ‘bad job’.
They also said there was no need for a cesarean operation since the baby was dead but that they would have to evacuate the baby using forceps. When the baby was pulled out, the pain was so unbearable that my screams engulfed the entire two-storey building that housed the ante natal building.
The whole place was covered with a foul stench because the baby was already decaying in my womb. Thereafter, I was wheeled to the theatre forcleaning. I spent three days at the hospital before being discharged. My file should still be at Ayinke as proof of this incident.”

Female Thief Caught By Shop Owner, Gets Humiliated With Her Hair Shaved (PHOTOS)

Not in our dear country... When Chinese shopkeeper Lu Sun saw a shoplifter shoving clothes into her bag she decided she’d teach her a lesson.

In an unusual example of vigilante justice, the retailer, whose store had been hit by a spate of thefts over the previous two weeks, pinned shoplifter Li Wu to the ground, took a pair of scissors and hacked off her long dark hair. See photos below;

Lu Sun, 32, had lost hundreds of pounds worth of goods from thefts at her store at a shopping centre in Wenzhou, China, so decided to keep a close watch on Li Wu when she saw her acting suspiciously.

She said: ‘I watch so many people every day, so I can tell thieves from others easily. ‘When I noticed the woman sneaking around in the shopping mall, I knew she was up to no good. ‘So, when she came into my shop, I was alert and finally caught her in the act.’ Miss Sun was helped by a neighbouring shop owner who held Wi Lun down while she cut off chunks of her hair.

The pair then called the police and had the shoplifter arrested. Miss Sun added: ‘I decided to do it to teach her a lesson and to send a message to other thieves in the area to stay away from my shop.’ Miss Sun is by no means the first shopkeeper to dish out a painful lesson to thieves. Last year Edinburgh retailer Arfan Hussain became an internet sensation when CCTV footage of him apprehending a thief went viral.

The thief tried to steal £2.30 worth of milkshake – but didn’t bargain on shopkeeper Mr Hussain being a former Tae Kwon Do champion. He was hailed the internet’s next ‘Big Man’ after he posted the CCTV footage on YouTube. A lesson learned: Lu Sun was helped by a fellow shopkeeper as she pinned the shoplifter down and hacked off her hair. Other shoplifter’s bizarre methods ensured that they were brought to justice.

New Jersey thief Anthony DiVietro managed to escape the clutches of the security guards at the store he was trying to rob after they spotted him acting suspiciously and gave chase. But DiVietro’s bizarre practice of dancing while he stole came back to haunt him. CCTV footage of him showing off his moves while stuffing his waistband with products he hadn’t paid for back in 2011 became an internet hit and he

Police Kill UNIBEN Final Year Varsity Student, Bury Corpse

•The slain UNIBEN student, Momodu Ibrahim

The police in Benin, the Edo State capital, southsouth Nigeria, have killed Momodu Ibrahim, a 22-year old 500 level student of the Faculty of Laboratory Science of the University of Benin.

The police proceeded to bury the victim’s corpse without contacting his family, claiming he was unknown, whereas his cellphone was with them.

Momodu who was said to be the only male child of his parents, was allegedly shot a stone’s throw from his family house located at 1, Igbobaewaye Street, off Siluko Road by Edo Textile Mill junction.

Addressing newsmen at the Nigeria Union of Journalists,( NUJ), secretariat, an elder sister of the deceased, Mrs Ebohon Rebecca Egbe, who called on the concerned authorities for justice, gave an account of how the life of her brother was cut short by the bullet allegedly fired by Mrs. Carol Afegbua, the DPO of Ogida Police Station

“I was in my office in Port Harcourt when I received a call from Benin from a cousin of mine who is a member of the police force, saying that I should take heart for what he was about to tell me, that we lost Ibrahim, my younger brother. I called my mother and she said they have been looking for him in the last two days. Normally it is after 48 hours that you report such thing to the police,” she said.

She disclosed that she later went to the police on 29 May, 2013, only to be told that he was allegedly killed by the DPO of Ogida Police Station and was buried the next day without the family knowing.

She added that her brother’s cellphone, which was with the police rang all through as, “we were trying to locate his whereabouts until the police finally picked the call and asked my mother to come to the station.

“When the DPO was confronted and asked why her men shot my brother, she explained that they did not know his identity because her men asked him to stop and he refused, alleging that he was carrying a gun and wanted to shoot at her men on patrol before the police men shot at him in self defence.”

Mrs Egbe said the family of the slain student was informed that his body had been buried at a public cemetery in Egor Local Government Area of the state.

Following the killing of Ibrahim, hundreds of students of UNIBEN Monday took to major streets of the city in protest.

The students’ protest disrupted vehicular and human activities, resulting in traffic jamp as the students who wore black attire, marched through some major streets of the city calling for the immediate arrest and prosecution of Mrs. Afegbai over her alleged complicity in the murder of their colleague.

The Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Moses Eguavoen, said that the Police Commissioner was going to wade into the matter.

Police Arrest ‘EFCC Boys’ Leader For Murder, Vandalism In Lagos

A youth accused of perpetrating a series of crimes, such as murder and vandalism in Somolu, Bariga and Akoka areas of Lagos state has been arrested by the State Police Command.

The suspect, Olumide Adebayo, A.K.A. Ogbor, is the head of a gang known as EFCC Boys which is affiliated with the Eiye Confraternity, according to the police.

Ogbor was declared wanted after an April 9, 2013 incident where about 100 vehicles were vandalised, with many people sustaining injuries when urchins, otherwise known as Area boys on reprisal, invaded four streets in Akoka and Pedro in Somolu Local Government Area.

The hoodlums, including Ogbor, arrived Akoka through the Somolu Market pretending to be holding a candlelight procession for a man, identified simply as Old Skool, who was allegedly stabbed to death by some youths during a rally organised by the council Chairman, Mr. Gbolahan Bago-Stowe.

In the late hours of Sunday, Ogbor was attempting to rob a motorist in Onipanu when policemen arrested him.

A police source, who craved anonymity, said, “At about 12am, Ogbor was arrested by the police at Onipanu, where he was harassing a motorist. Ogbor is a leading member of the EFCC boys, who have been terrorising residents for quite some time.

“He ignited the incident that led to the looting and destruction of vehicles in Oreofero , Popoola and Adesina streets. He has been transferred to the Area H Command, Ogudu.

Following Ogbor’s arrest, it was learnt that policemen attached to the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, arrived Area H and requested that the suspect be handed over to them as they were also investigating him for other crimes.

The police source said, “Detectives from FEDSARS came to take the suspect away on Monday afternoon after presenting a series of petitions that had been written against him.

“We are also in search of other members of his gang, Rasaki Oseni aka Elewure; Kunle Eyin Bouncing among others. Members of the Akeju community in Somolu reported that Ogbor and some of the cultists stormed a carnival at Akeju earlier this year and were shooting indiscriminately and injured many, including a soldier.”

Confirming the arrest, Police Public Relations Officer, FEDSRARS, Lekan Ogundare, said he was being investigated for a series of crimes ranging from robbery to murder.

“He (Ogbor) is in our custody. Investigations are ongoing. He has been accused of perpetrating series of crimes in the state,” he said.

Abia Big Boy Sentence To Death For Killing His Banker Wife

For killing his wife, a staff of Guaranty Trust Bank, under 'controversial circumstances' in their home, an Abia State big boy, who works in one of the big banks in the state, have been sentenced to death by hanging.
Whisper.Com gathered that the man, identified as Theophilus Akajakaiye allegedly murdered his wife, the late Theodora, on October 12, 2009 at Azumini Ndoki, in Ukwa...

A serious legal battle between the deceased’s family and the accused began soon after the alleged killing until the judgment was finally delivered recently.

The charge read, “The accused person is charged with one-count of murder contrary to Section 319 (1) of the Criminal Code Vol. 11, Cap. 30 Laws of Eastern Nigeria, 1963, applicable in Abia State.”

The Presiding Judge, Justice T.U. Uzokwe, said in his judgment that having heard from the accused person, learned counsel for the accused and the prosecuting counsel, the offence carried a mandatory sentence which is death.

He said the court had no power to reduce the sentence and that being the case, he had no option but to sentence Theophilus Akajakaiye to death.

The judge said, “I find that the accumulated circumstantial facts found proved that the accused indeed murdered his wife, Theodora Ajakaiye. Suffice it to say that I find the accused guilty as charged and I convict him accordingly.”

The death sentence read, “Theophilus Ajakaiye – The sentence of this court upon you is that you be hanged by the neck until you be dead and may the merciful Lord have mercy on your soul.”

But in the allocutus, counsel for the convict pleaded for mercy for his client. He said, “I thank the court for this well considered judgment. The accused has no criminal record. We plead for mercy. There are two children to the marriage and they have already lost their mother.”

Male NYSC Member Caught Raping A Female Student

Gone are the good days when people treat Corpers with courtesy and sometimes feed them free of charge. These days, it is common to see young guys serving Nigeria under the NYSC scheme struggling to "survive" at their place of assignment. It was observed that help is no long as it used to be.

The crux of the matter is that today people don't trust easily. Wearing an NYSC gear is no longer enough to be trusted. And a male Corper worsened this fear recently when he was caught...

The 26yrs old Corper, identified as Amadi Stanley, was said to have taken a 15-year-old girl, whose parent were friendly with him, saying they were going on a stroll. The girl, a secondary school student, wanted to return home after they've covered some distance, but the Corper refused and they started "dragging".

Before the teenage girl could know what was happening Corper Amadi was on top of her and he was said to have forcefully had carnal knowledge of the girl. She was later rescued from him and he was arrested by men of the Nigeria Police Force in Ede, Osun State, where he is posted to.

Corper Amadi was charged before an Osogbo Senior Magistrates court on Tuesday where he was charged for counts relating to abduction and rápe.

Prosecutor, Meriti Wilson, told the court that Amadi committed the offence on May 24 at about 6:30pm.

When the charges were read to him, Corper Amadi pleaded not guilty. He was granted bail for N100,000 and the Magistrate adjourned the case to July 22, 2013, for trial.

Ezekude said,“The operatives of the NCC have raided Obot’s house over illegal transmission of cable television signals in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State.
“Illegal transmitting decoders, transmission boosters, rolls of installation wires, and other accessories worth N20m were impounded during the raid at two different locations. The locations are No. 89 Atan Road, 32 Umuahia Road, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State.
“Investigation into the case continues and appropriate action will be taken on conclusion of investigation.”
He stated that Obot, who operated as Botex Integrated Service, was arrested based on intelligence and surveillance reports during an anti-piracy operation.
He added that the operatives of the NCC had also on June 1, 2013 arrested four pirates and confiscated an estimated N3.2m worth of copyright infringing products during an antipiracy operation in Uyo metropolis.
Ezekude stated that the anti-piracy raid was carried out in four outlets dealing in suspected pirated products located on 2, Abak Road; 29, Abak Road; 30, Oron Road and 37, Oron Road, Uyo.
“The impounded products included large consignments of foreign and local VCD/DVD movies as well as musical works of both foreign and local artists,” he said.
Ezekude said the commission was intensifying its anti-piracy campaign across the country to protect genuine right owners and the copyright industries in the country.
He said the commission was hindered by paucity of funds and asked the Federal Government to help provide the needed funds for the commission in the interest of Nigerians.

US To Give N1b To Anyone Who Finds Boko Haram Command

The United States has made good its promise to help Nigeria end terrorism by offering a $7m (N1.1bn) reward to persons with information on the whereabouts of the leader of militant islamist sect, Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau.
A senior US State Department official, on Monday said, “They’ve had a relationship for some time [with the deadly AQIM]. They send people back and forth for training, they’ve done the provision of arms back and forth."
The $7m is part of the $23m posted on Monday by the US State Department’s Rewards for Justice programme in rewards to help track down four other leaders of militant groups such as Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb spreading terror in Nigeria and other West African countries.

The money, which the Presidency described as a welcome development, acknowledged the links between AQIM and Nigeria’s Boko Haram, which is under fire in a military offensive.

The US official said: “The links are… not quite as solid as some of the other terrorist organisations,” he said. “Nonetheless, it’s a dangerous link and it’s something that we feel we should try and stop.

“Under his leadership, Boko Haram’s capability has certainly grown. When we see someone like this who…is actually leading to an increase in the capability of an organisation, that’s something that we would naturally try to see if we can do something to impede.”

Recall that Shekau had last week called on Islamists in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq to join the bloody fight to create an Islamic state in Nigeria.

In a video obtained by AFP last week, he claimed Boko Haram forces had made significant gains against the Nigerian Army while sustaining little damage since the start of the military offensive on May 15.

Shekau’s whereabouts could not be determined in the video, in which he was shown seated and dressed in camouflage and a turban, with an AK-47 at his side.

The search has commenced, take the challenge if you think you can dare. *my hand no dey o!*

I’ve No Regrets About Killing My Father –18-Year-Old Boy Suspect

Olanrewaju Kayode-Aremu

An 18-year-old boy, Olanrewaju Kayode-Aremu, who was recently arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for stabbing his 46-year-old father, Victor Kayode-Aremu, to death has said he does not regret his action.
The native of Kwara State added that he decided to stab his father to death because he could not lay his hands on poison or a gun which he would have used to kill his father.
PUNCH Metro had reported on May 15, 2013 that the suspect stabbed his father to death at their home located at Langbasa in Ajah.

It had also been reported that the suspect was a Geology student of the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, but was asked to leave the school due to his poor grades.

The suspect, who is currently being detained at the state Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, said he killed his father for many reasons.

He said killing his father was a mistake but he still had no regrets.

Olarenwaju said one of the reasons why he killed his father was that his father forced him to study Geology even though he did not like the course.

He said, “My father used to maltreat me and my mother was aware of this. Sometimes he would not give me food or money. He sent me to University of Ilorin but I did not get the course I wanted. I was admitted to study Geology but I wanted to study Biochemistry.

“My father forced me to go to the school and after I failed, the school asked me to leave. I started working with my father afterwards and I used to follow him to work. He did not want to send me to school anymore.”

Narrating what happened on the day he killed his father, Olanrewaju said he had complained to his parents that he was not feeling too well but they had ignored him.

He said it was in the usual behaviour of his father to maltreat him, adding that he decided to vent his anger on his father

He said, “On that day that I killed my father, I was ill and I told my parents but they ignored me. I do not really know what came over me. I took a knife and followed my father upstairs and stabbed him repeatedly. He ran downstairs and I chased him downstairs and stabbed him once more.

“My mother saw me when I stabbed him to death but she did nothing.”

Asked why he decided to kill his father in such a gruesome manner, he said, “I could not get poison or a gun. That was why I stabbed him.”

Olanrewaju, who is the first of five children, said his father married a second wife and this had strained the good relationship the family once had.

He said on several occasions, his father had sent him out of the house because he hated him, stressing that he had reported to relatives but no one ever listened to him.

Olanrewaju said he killed his father because he believed he would not be arrested due to his young age. He said he thought the murder would be treated as a family affair.

He lamented that since his arrest, family members, including his mother, had refused to visit him.

He said, “My mother has not come to visit me since I was arrested. I want her to get me a lawyer. I am still very young. I killed him because I wanted to be free. I did not know I would be arrested. I thought nothing would ever happen to me.

“I am not happy in detention and I want the police to release me; I have suffered

Widows In Akwa Ibom Force To Drink Bath-Water Of Husbands Corpses

Widows have suffered hard times in Akwa Ibom state in a custom allowing the seizure of deceased husbands’ properties and subjecting their widows to inhuman practices such as shaving of the head and making them drink the water used to bath the corpses of their husbands, among others.
A sigh of relieve can now be heaved in the Southern Nigerian state as the custom has now become illegal.

In a bill passed by the House of Assembly and signed by the governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio, the state government outlawed the custom which maltreat widows after the deaths of their husbands, declaring it as unlawful and inhuman.

Speaking on Democracy Day, the governor declared that it had become unlawful for widows to be maltreated in Akwa Ibom, saying defaulters of the law risk fines and three years imprisonment.

In her reaction, First Lady of the state, Chief (Mrs) Unoma Ekaette Akpabio, commended the House of Assembly and the governor for the pro-women law, describing the passage of the law as a breakthrough for the womenfolk in the state.

According to her, “I appreciate the state House of Assembly and the state governor for standing with the womenfolk through this law. Akwa Ibom State has, in the last five years, shown itself as pro-masses and pro-women.”

JTF uncovers Lebanese terror cell in Kano

• Weapons discovered by soldiers in an underground bunker in Bompai, Kano ... on Thursday
| credits: AFP
The Joint Task Force on Thursday said it had uncovered a Lebanon-based Hezbollah armoury and terror cell in Bompai, Kano State.
The force, which said it found large cache of arms and ammunition, also confirmed the arrest of three persons in connection with the armoury and the cell.
A Lebanese national currently out of the country reportedly owns the premises where the armoury and the cell were found at No 3, Gaya Road, Off Bompai Road in the ancient city.

A statement by the JTF spokesman, Captain Ikedichi Iweha, said the JTF operatives, comprising officials of the 3rd Army Brigade in Kano and the State Security Service conducted the operations.

The operatives, he said, uncovered an underground bunker in the premises where large quantities of assorted weapons were hidden.

Iweha, who said the construction of the bunker was special, listed anti-tank weapons, rocket propelled guns and anti-tank/personnel mines as some of the dangerous weapons found in the premises.

He added that the weapons and ammunition were concealed in coolers, drums and bags.

According to him, the latest recovery followed an ongoing robust counter-terrorism investigation by the SSS.

Confirming the existence of a Hezbollah cell in the country, Iweha noted that the SSS had arrested one Mustapha Fawaz, co-owner of Amigo Supermarket and the Wonderland Amusement Park, in Abuja.

The arrest of Fawaz, Iweha said, led to the arrest of another Lebanese terror suspect, Abdullah Tahini, at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport with over$60,000

He added, “Thereafter on May 26, 2013, one Talal Roda, also a Lebanese with a Nigerian Passport, was arrested in the same house.

“All those arrested have confessed to have undergone Hezbollah Terrorist Training and further implicated one Fauzi Fawad, also a co-owner of Amigo Supermarket and Wonderland Amusement Park.”

When one of our correspondents contacted the Director of Defence Information, Brig. Gen. Chris Olukolade, he described the discovery of the arms and the arrest of the Lebanese importers as “a major breakthrough.”

The action of the JTF operatives, he said demonstrated the commitment of security agencies to riding the country of illegal arms.

Meanwhile, the SSS said the weapons were intended for use against “Israeli and Western interests”.

“This is the handwork of Hezbollah,” Bassey Ettang, director of the SSS said in Kano.

“You can also be sure that if a group like this is existing, then it may even lend support to some of the local terrorists we have on the ground.”

Hezbollah is a Shia military and political movement based in Lebanon considered by the United States to be a terrorist organisation.

The sect was conceived by Muslim clerics and funded by Iran following the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, and was primarily formed to offer resistance to the Israeli occupation.

Its leaders were inspired by former Iranian leader, Ayatollah Khomeini, and its forces were trained and organised by a contingent of Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

Hezbollah’s 1985 manifesto listed its four main goals as “Israel’s final departure from Lebanon as a prelude to its final obliteration.”

Man Who Sells Human Head For N1000 Arrested

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a grandfather, Mr. Segun Kayode, for allegedly exhuming and selling human parts.

According to the police, the suspect, who works at a cemetery in Epe area of the state, sold human parts for a living, adding that he had become notorious in the area for selling human parts.

It was learnt that the suspect was arrested following a report by a resident who saw him displaying a skull for sale.

The grandfather, who could not give his exact age, said he started selling human parts because he was poor and jobless.

He said:

“I live at 2,Tungbehin Street, Epe. I have two children and I am a grandfather. I have always been poor all my life because I had no formal or informal education. I used to be a fisherman but when there were no longer fishes in rivers in my area, I became a gardener at Epe Local Government Secretariat.

“About four years ago, the LG said they no longer needed my services so I started trimming grass at a cemetery in the area.”

The suspect, who did not deny the allegations, said there was nothing wrong in selling dead people’s parts since the dead never used them.

He said one day, while he was clearing weeds in the cemetery, he noticed a human skull which had been dug up.

He said, “Most times, when a corpse is not buried with a coffin, the possibility of the corpse resurfacing is very high. So, what workers at the cemetery do is to gather some of the corpses and burn them instead of burying them again.

“I realised that this was not a smart thing to do since it would be better to make money from it. The families of these dead people never care about them once they are buried and weeds had taken over the cemetery.”

The suspect said he sold only two corpses while he had on numerous occasions given them out for free.

He said, “I have sold only two human heads. I sold the first one for N1, 000 while I sold the second one for N1, 500. Last week, a resident approached me saying an herbalist needed the head so I got a decomposed head, for him, washed it and put it on a fence to dry.

“A resident saw me and raised the alarm and that was how I was arrested.”

PUNCH Metro had reported last week that five people, including an herbalist, were arrested for selling human parts.

A police source told one of our correspondents that the trend was common in areas where public cemeteries were situated.

“Areas which are not located in the metropolis and have cemeteries have become the hideout for cartels which specialise in sale of human parts. We (police) have reason to believe that some of these human parts dealers also engage in ritual killing,” he said.

The source added that efforts were going on to arrest other human parts sellers in the area.

When contacted on the telephone, the spokesperson for the state police command, Ngozi Braide, confirmed Kayode’s arrest. She said he had been transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba.

Husband Beats His Wife To Death Over N500 In Lagos; Locks Her Corpse

This is a pathetic and yet dreaded situation. Even policemen are afraid:
“This is not the fight time he is doing this. The first time they lost their daughter, he locked her [corpse] up in the room preventing everyone, including his wife from coming inside.
"Till date no one can tell what he did with her corpse. As you can see, everyone is afraid of him in this area.”
That was the much a female resident in the area, identified as Nwankego, could say due fear for her safety.

Oronna Street in Abule-Egba area of Lagos was on Monday thrown into confusion after a 60-year-old man who allegedly killed his wife over his missing N500, locked himself up inside their home with the corpse.

Reports said fight broke out after the man identified as Gbadebo Elegbede, accused his 17-year-old son of stealing his N500 at about 7am. His wife, Maria, was said to have defended his son, her action reportedly led to a verbal confrontation with her husband, which degenerated into a scuffle.

In the process, Gbadebo was said to have hit his wife with a hard object on the face, causing her to slump.

His son, Johnson, was said to have attempted to lift his mother from the floor only to discover that she was motionless and bleeding from the mouth and nose.

Johnson reportedly ran out to alert neighbours to come to his mother’s help, but they met the door of the apartment locked. Gbadebo is in and threatening that he would kill anyone who force the door open.

Eye witnesses said some of the deceased’s relatives who rushed to the scene were also prevented from seeing Maria’s corpse as the door was still locked and they are afraid for their life.

Surprisingly, according to vanguard, policemen at nearby divisions who were contacted said they had not been informed about the incident. As at 4pm on Monday, Gbadebo was still inside the room with Maria’s corpse and no one could go close.

SHOCKING REVELATION: Woolwich killer, Michael Adebolajo Was Held In Kenya On Terror Charges And Deported To The UK

Woolwich suspect Michael Adebolajo came to the attention of MI5 after he appeared in court in Kenya on suspicion of planning to fight for a terrorist group.
Adebolajo was arrested with five others in November 2010. All were said to have been heading for neighbouring Somalia, where they had been recruited by Al-Shabaab, the Islamist insurgent organisation. Adebolajo, who was filmed after the Woolwich slaughter with blood on his hands, was deported without being charged. It was soon after his return to Britain, a close friend claims, that MI5 earmarked him as a potential informant and began assiduously courting himThe Mail on Sunday has been told: Intelligence officers offered Adebolajo money and gave him a mobile phone; Adebolajo was asked to spy on a group of Muslims with links to Al Qaeda terrorists in Yemen; He resisted their attempts to ‘turn’ him and complained to lawyers he was being harassed. An East London-based solicitor, who asked not to be named, said: ‘He came to see us last year. He raised serious concerns which are similar to ones we have heard before from others. He met a member of my team and discussed his case.

He complained that they [MI5] kept wanting to talk to him and his family. They kept coming round his family home and wanted to meet him regularly. We said if he wanted to deal with it properly, he should give us the number they [MI5] had given him and we would call them.

‘He was very paranoid about the whole thing. But he didn’t come back so we didn’t do anything else with him.’

It is understood that soon afterwards the contact with intelligence officers suddenly ceased. Adebolajo’s links to the security services were first revealed on Friday on Twitter by one of his closest friends, Abu Nusaybah. Hours later, Nusaybah was arrested under the Terrorism Act just as he was finishing a pre-recorded interview for BBC Newsnight.

Earlier that day, Nusaybah, whose real name is Ibrahim Hassan, gave an interview to a Mail on Sunday reporter in which he made further claims about MI5 and Adebolajo. ‘They wanted him to spy on a group of Muslims who have links to Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula [AQAP]. They wanted information about them.’

AQAP, based in Yemen, has been called ‘the most active operational franchise’ of Al Qaeda beyond Pakistan and Afghanistan

‘They offered him [Adebolajo] money and they gave him a special mobile phone to use when calling them,’ said Hassan. ‘They even took him in for interviews, just to intimidate him to work for them. But he refused.’

By the time Adebolajo arrived in Kenya in 2010, he was already deeply immersed in radical Islam and espousing extremist views.

Along with five Kenyan youths, he was picked up by local police on November 23 after spending the night in a guesthouse on Faza Island, part of the Lamu archipelago in the Indian Ocean close to the Somali border.

Principal magistrate Richard Kirui was told that all six men had been recruited to Al-Shabaab and intended to fight with them to bring down the country’s transitional government.

Al-Shabaab has imposed a strict version of Sharia law in the areas it controls, including stoning to death women accused of adultery.

In court, the youths claimed they had been given nothing to eat for two days and had been denied access to lawyers.

They had spent a night in police custody in Mombasa and were questioned by counter terrorism officers before being taken to court the next day. Adebolajo was fingerprinted and photographed and made a full statement.

After the order was made to deport Adebolajo, police officers accompanied him, handcuffed, in an unmarked police vehicle to Nairobi airport.

During the day-long drive, the vehicle was involved in a minor accident, and although no-one was injured the journey was delayed. That evening Adebolajo was put on the first available flight to London.

At this time he was living on a council estate in Greenwich, South East London, with girlfriend Rikki Thomas and her two children from a previous relationship. The Mail on Sunday has learned that Thomas – arrested last week in a police raid on her Greenwich house and later released without charge – gave birth to the terror suspect’s son last year.

Neighbours yesterday recalled how 29-year-old Thomas wore mini-skirts and was a ‘bright lovely woman’ before meeting him six years ago and turning into someone who hardly left the house.

Odette Hamilton said: ‘Rikki began to dress more and more like a Muslim. Eventually she wore the whole burka.

‘When they walked down the street, he used to make her follow behind him, in subordination.’

50 Years Old Man Impregnates His 17 Years Old Grand Daughter In Jigawa State

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Jigawa on Thursday arrested a 50-year old hunter for allegedly impregnating his 17-year old step granddaughter in Dutse.
The NSCDC Commandant, Mr Muhammad Gidado, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the suspect was arrested over alleged incest.

Gidado said that the suspect, married to the girl’s aunt, committed the offence at Warwade community in Dutse.
He said parents of the victim had filed a complaint against the suspect following his inability to settle medical bills at the clinic where she was delivered of her baby. Gidado said the girl had undergone Caesarean section and had been suffering from anaemia due to pregnancy related complications.
He said the suspect had earlier accepted responsibility for the pregnancy when the family tried to settle the matter amicably but failed to take care of the needs of the mother and the new born baby.
“The girl’s parents decided to bury the matter within the family after the suspect accepted responsibility for the pregnancy but failed to settle the medical bills.

“The girl is receiving treatment at the GeneralHospital, Dutse, and her parents made a formal complaint to the command,” he said. Gidado said the command has settled the medical bills because the parents could not afford to pay. The commandant said the suspect
would be arraigned as soon as investigations into the case were completed.

‘Nigeria Has Recorded 400 Bomb Explosions From 2010 Till Date’

According to the head of Police Anti-bomb Squad of the Federal Capital Territory, OC Adigun Tajudeen, Nigeria has experienced 400 bomb explosions, from 2010 till date.

Tajudeen, who maintained that the Nigerian Police had always been on top of all the insecurity challenges in the country, however, lamented the dearth of concrete evidence from the 400 explosions.

Speaking at a lecture and simulation exercise put together by the North Central zonal office of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, on experience sharing on mass casualty handling resulting from Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), Tajudeen said that often, people rush to the scene of explosions before any security agent thereby tampering with evidence.

According to him, “from 2010 till date, we’ve had over 400 bombings in Nigeria and no one has been able identify concrete evidence. When we attend world forum, we only present few evidence, which is not good enough.”

However, with the spate of attacks with IEDs, which have claimed many lives and destroyed valuables across the country, Tajudeen insisted that Nigerians must cultivate the habit of staying away from such scenes so that security agents can do their work properly.

“We are well prepared. If you watch our police incident at our Police Anti-Bomb Squad, you will agree that we have a prudent record, especially now that we are having these situations in the North-Eastern part of the country,” he said.

“We have been very serious in these acts, and several IEDs have been recovered and post-investigation carried out, and results have included bomb signatures.”

During the simulation exercise, all critical stakeholders involved, including the Nigeria Police Force, Federal Road Safety Commission, Nigerian Red Cross Society, Nigerian Civil Defence Corps and the FCT Fire Service, were activated to rescue casualties at an incident scene.

#WoolwichAttack: How Nigerian Michael Adebolajo Became A Terrorist!

michael olumide adebolajo

The identity of the suspect pictured carrying bloodied knives in the aftermath of the murder of a British soldier Royal Fusilier Lee Rigby, 25, has been confirmed to be Michael Olumide Adebolajo.

Michael Adebolajo, who was arrested for hacking the soldier to death in Woolwich, was brought up a devout Christian.
But he rebelled against his parents and turned to Islam.

Adebolajo was an ordinary British schoolboy; born in Lambeth in December 1984, has 2 siblings; a sister and a brother and staunchly church-going parents who are of Nigerian origin.

But at 15 he descended into a world where he was consumed with Jihadism and later joined several Islamist groups banned in Britain because they are considered so extreme.

'He was a Christian. A nice, normal guy. All his friends were white and used to go round to each other’s houses all the time', a former friend told the Evening Standard.
'He started getting involved with Islam aged about 15 or 16, and that is why his parents moved him away out of the area.

Kemi Ibrahim, 45, who lived next door, described him as a regular teenage boy but she explained how he was often getting into rows with his parents, which could have been over his conversion to Islam.

'The parents were trying to keep him on the straight and narrow. They thought he was busy with these guys leading him a stray,' she said.

'The last memory I can say was when he had a go with his parents and took a brick and just smashed it on the windscreen of their car. He just took the brick and smashed it on the car. I think he was about 17.'

In 2003, Michael Adebolajo converted to Islam and began calling himself Mujahid, which means a Muslim who takes part in jihadist actions.

Adebolajo is said to have joined the banned Islamist organisation Al Muhajiroun, which promotes Sharia law, and other controversial groups banned under the Terrorism Act.

Insiders said he left these groups two years ago, but just last week he had been seen preaching in Woolwich town centre.

He is said to have been well-known on the Islamic extremist scene in Britain and may have been stopped or arrested on his way to join the militant Islamist group Al Shabaab in Somalia in the past year.

However, the two suspects are not thought to have links to terror groups based in Nigeria, such as the jihadist militant organisation Boko Haram.

Police had sealed off Adebolajo's sister's home in Romford on Thursday and Local media says police raided the home of his Nigerian family in a village near the eastern English city of Lincoln.

Both suspects in the attack, conducted in broad daylight on Wednesday afternoon, are in custody after being shot by police.
