My Ex-Hubby Is Mad And Drunk For Asking For A DNA— Laide Bakare

 
Nigerian actress, Laide Bakare, who has been enmeshed in a paternity mess with two men, has finally reacted to the claims by her estranged husband, Olumide Okunfulire, that he would challenge her for a DNA to determine the true father of her new baby.
In an interview with a popular Lagos gossip magazine, City People, Laide Bakare claimed her ex-husband must be “mad and oozing from chronic drunkenness’ for him to have ask her to do a DNA to know who the father of her new baby truly is.
“Ordinarily,” the actress stated, “I would not believe all the stories of him saying those rubbish in the media,” she said.
Laide Bakare further observed that, “maybe he was being pushed to say those things by those who know nothing about how we lived together or, maybe, they just want to put him in a big trouble.”
She declared that if truly Okunfulire asked for a DNA, then he “must have gone mad and must be oozing from chronic drunkenness.” Laide dared herex-hubby to “go ahead if he really meant it but I’m sure he has run mad.”

Eucharia Anunobi In Senegal For 7-Day Crusade

Former Nollywood 'bad girl' actress turned Evangelist, Eucharia Anunobi is presently in Dakar, which is the capital city of Senegal, for a seven-day crusade holding in the city.
Eucharia, who was ordained an Evangelist in early 2012 in a Church in Lagos, has since swung into action by winning souls for God. She arrived Senegal on Monday and is expected to leave by next week, we learnt.
The crusade started on Monday, June 24 and will end on Sunday, June 30, 2013. It is holding at the Gate Family Church in Dakar, where she will minister everyday.

Tuface revealed that in a recent, no-holds-barred interview with Sam  Umukoro. And that wasn't all he talked about.
Here's what he said about how he handles his women and kids, his deal with Blackface.
*.SUI: Your relationship with women has been a topic of controversy. Someone once posted on Facebook that, ‘after six kids, Tuface is now married now, can he be faithful?’… How do you feel about such questions?
Tuface: The day I decided to go public was the day I gave my privacy away. It’s only natural – if you put yourself out there – that people are going to say different stuff, even when it’s not true. You laugh if you hearthe funny ones; you are surprised when you hear the malicious and wicked ones. But what people think about you is none of your business, it’s their business. So, na their headache if dem dey worry. I just look at it and say, ‘okay oh, na you be the police na’ (laughing). I just try my best to be a good person, you know.
*.SUI: You don’t see yourself as a player?

Tuface: If I were a player, they wouldn’t have caught me like that (General laughter)
*.SUI: How challenging is the role of being a father to your kids?
Tuface: It’s not easy. Sometimes, it is painful, especially when you don’t get to see them as often as you would wish to because of work. Today I’mhere, tomorrow, I’m there, sometimes for weeks, months; plus the fact thatthey have different moms… I didn’t plan for it this way, but it happened and I have accepted it, no shaking. My plan was to have a wife and then have children. Something happened along the line, but I didn’t run away from it.
*.SUI: Why did it take you so long to finally settle down with Anne?
Tuface: I don’t really have an answer to that question, because I don’t know. I can’t explain why I don’t have an answer to that, but somehow, by the grace of God, we are still together.
*.SUI: You once told me that you would like to go back to school to studylaw, do you still have plans to do that?
Tuface: Yes, I want to do that. I can’t say when exactly, maybe in the nexttwo or three years? But I’m definitely going to do that.
*.SUI: When you first started out, did you honestly think you will get to this level, did you ever dream of this kind of success?
Tuface: I will say yes. Everyone wishes to take his game to the highest level, but what you don’t know is how fast or how long it would take to get there, but you definitely have that dream of getting there. So I had a dream of becoming a successful musician/ artiste. I hoped, worked and prayed for it and I’m getting there.
*.SUI: There has been a lot of controversy about who wrote your hit song,the evergreen ‘African Queen’. Did blackface actually write the lyrics, as some claim?
Tuface: The song was written by Innocent Idibia and Austin Amedu; Innocent Idibia is Tuface, Austin Amedu is Blackface.
*.SUI: So, who should get credit for the success of African Queen and didyou know it was going to be monster hit at the time?
Tuface: The credit goes to… Tuface, Blackface; OJB, for production; Kennis Music, for marketing; the credit goes to all them and also the fans, especially my Nigerian fans.

Lagos based Killer Doctor exposed ......

 
FOLLOWING the arrest, last week, of the owner of a Lagos-based hospital, Doctor Babawale Joshua for allegedly mutilating the corpse of a 13-month-old baby boy in his hospital, a 37-year- old woman identified asCordelia Ifechukwude, has alleged that she suffered similar fate at the medical centre.
The Aniocha North, Delta-born mother of five narrated her experience at the No 1 Ajike close, branch of the medical centre, a few metres away from Amje bus-stop, Alakuko, a suburb of Lagos. According to her, “It happened in year 2000 when I took in with my first baby.
I registered at Ayinke House, Ikeja General Hospital, but because I was advised to also register at a clinic very close to our house, I registered at Ajike hospital at Amje bus stop, Alakuko. We lived at Ajegunle bus stop, not too far from the clinic.
The reason we chose Ajike medical centre was because my husband got acquainted with Dr Babawale Joshua, the Chief Medical Director and owner of the medical centre, and in the course of their discussion, he told my husband that he had his first degree in General Medicine and second degree in Public Health at the University of Ibadan. That might have prompted my husband to make up his mind about us registering at his clinic.


My pains and agony
“We trusted him based on the fact that the University of Ibadan has a good record when it comes to medicine. I went for Ante-Natal at the Ayinke House, Ikeja. Around the months of February/ March, I went into labour at about 5pm. My husband was still at work then, so I went to the nearest clinic where I registered, being Ajike medical centre. When he returned around 10pm that evening, my husband rushed to the clinic and met me lying in the theatre. that was around 10 pm.“
Also, on my second day at the clinic, my husband confided in me that as he was taking a walk around the premises that morning while he was waiting for the doctor to come down from his residence and attend to me. He said he saw a dead white cat, tied to an iron protector of one of the windows of the doctor’s main office, with something that looks like a blueink sprinkled on the cat. He said he was shocked at the sight but since he did not know what it meant, he waved it off and concentrated on my safe delivery.
“By the evening of the second day, my baby’s kicks had stopped and I could hardly walk. But the nurse kept pressing my stomach and claimed they could still hear my baby’s movements. The doctor also claimed he could still hear the baby’s movement. I was later placed on a theatre table,naked.
The doctor removed my earrings and the rosary I had on my fingers. He sprinkled what he called anointing oil all over me, saying I was a witch and that I did not want to deliver the baby. At the end of the day, the second day passed and I was not delivered of the baby.By the third day, I was no longer able to urinate and my left leg was literally dead. The doctor asked my husband to bring the sum of fifty thousand Naira for a cesarean operation, that the baby was stuck in my womb. That was when it dawned on my husband that if we continued like that, he would not onlylose the baby, but his wife as well. He went and chartered a commercial bus that conveyed us to Ayinke House in Ikeja
.“The doctors at Ayinke were not particularly pleased with us for taking that long to come to them. They initially refused attending to me but whenwe showed them our card which was a proof that we were registered with them, they took me in and carried out a scan which showed the baby had been dead for some time. The report given after examining my condition was that Dr. Babawale did a ‘bad job’.
They also said there was no need for a cesarean operation since the baby was dead but that they would have to evacuate the baby using forceps. When the baby was pulled out, the pain was so unbearable that my screams engulfed the entire two-storey building that housed the ante natal building.
The whole place was covered with a foul stench because the baby was already decaying in my womb. Thereafter, I was wheeled to the theatre forcleaning. I spent three days at the hospital before being discharged. My file should still be at Ayinke as proof of this incident.”

OJB Jezreel gave an interview to Encomium magazine yesterday Monday June 24th where he said he has about eight weeks left to get his operation done. Excerpts...

    "When early diagnosis was done, it was just a case of renal failure. Right now, my two kidneys are gone. We are running dialysis at the moment. It started two years ago, but gradually depreciated. Most people tend to attribute kidney problem to drinking and smoking. I was told it doesn't have anything to do with that, because as much as I drink and smoke then, it was casual drinking. Maybe they offer you a bottle of drink and all that but not like I drink 15 bottles a day. I have a friend who has gone through this and he never drank or smoked.

   "The whole process of the treatment from pre-process, transplanting process and post-transplanting will cost about $100, 000. In two years I have spent up to N5million which I have been trying to maintain myself. That is why it has been kept secret."

    "God willing, I have like eight to ten weeks more to get the transplant done. It's strange, I still walk around a little. I can't eat much though. I trust God and Nigerians for their financial support"

FG Releases N300m To Nollywood

The Federal Government of Nigeria has released the sum of N300 millionfor capacity building in Nollywood. This is part of a N3 billion intervention fund earlier pledged by President Goodluck Jonathan to Nollywood. This presidential initiative is now formally known as Project ACT Nollywood(ACT is an acronym for Advancing Creativity and Technology).
One half of the capacity building fund has been designated for training and skills acquisition in areas such as  acting, scriptwriting, directing, cinematography, editing, production, production design, special effects, lighting, sound, and make-up.
The other half of the capacity building fund has been designated for existing local private institutes that offer training courses, programmes and technical certification in the movie industry.
Application for the capacity building fund is open from July through December 2013.
