Love was so full and flying in the air the day Damilola Akinsehinwa took Jessica as his bride and decided to take the giant step of marriage. It was a beautiful day, July 27th, 2013. It was the day that marked the beginning of a new epoch in the life of two friends. The day two hearts were made one. That day, Damilola became a real man. He paid the bride price of Irabor Jessica Amaka and decided to marry her as his wife.
Even the bible says, "he who finds a wife has found a good thing and obtain favour from the lord". We pray that the favour of the lord locates the new couple and may there home be filled with love, joy, happiness and all the good thing of life.

When two hearts and become one, then new life has started. The perception, and act will differ from what a single Heart does. Damilola is a man now, Jessica is a woman now. They both will live together as husband and wife till death do them part.

10 Things Women Want From Men

A smart woman shares the10 basic things women REALLY want from men;

1. We love the way you courted us when we met. The texts, calls, flowers, chocolates, cards, airport pick-ups, weekends away. Please don't stop this when you know you 'have us'.

2. We like security and a feeling of familiarity. Give us a chance to get to know you, before hitting on us.

3. We want to be treated as ladies. Not as unequals. We don't expect you to open every door and foot every bill, but it doesn't mean we don't find your gestures of genuine chivalry very attractive. Even the most independent woman wants to feel she is treasured and adored as an object of beauty, just as long as it doesn't go so far that the man insists on making her every decision.

Help I have sex and give birth in my dreams

I am an addicted readers of opekareem.blogspot.com although I hardly comment,I would like you and your readers to please share knowledge and advice with me concerning an issue I currently have.
I am a pretty young girl of 20, U can refer to me as omoh and I have been having these dreams far back as I can remember, even when I was still a virgin, I would usually see a man in my dreams sometimes someoneI recognise, sometimes an unknown face, he would make love to me then I get pregnant and give birth to a
baby, and the baby is taken from me immediately from birth and when I wake up, I usually feel very sore in my privates and breast like some one who has just delivered, other times I do not get pregnant we just have sex, sometimes when I go to bed really sad I see a man in my dreams who comes to cheer me up andmake me happy and by the time am awake those issues bothering me usually get solved miraculously, then I stopped having these dreams for a while, but now they are back and more vivid nd I usually give birth to a boy in these recent ones.
Now am really scared cause I now hear dreams hold meanings to our lives, and I dn't really have anyone to talk to. I would really appreciate if you and your readers could help me with a meaning, is there something for me to be worried about? or what or where to go to. Thank you and God bless you all.

So Desperate for a Child I Made Wife Sleep With My Dad

My wife had sex with my father so that we could have the baby we both longed for. I so regret agreeing to it.I am 35, my wife is a year younger. We've been married for seven years but have been trying for a baby without success.
We both got checked out and I was told the problem was mine and untreatable. Our only options were sperm donation or adoption.
We decided to go ahead with the donor option. My parents were supportive and willing to help with the cost, but we had no luck. My wife was beside herself and this had an impact on our relationship, and on my work as I found it hard to concentrate.
Once again my parents were supportive. They adopted me as a baby so they understood the longing for a child, but what they said next took me by surprise. They asked how I'd feel if my dad helped my wife to conceive.
My wife was also shocked. Initially she turned the idea down point blank but I convinced her we had no option. We still had our doubts though, as my dad is in his sixties and I did not know if he could still perform.
We decided the risk would be worth it and we'd go ahead, though we were both nervous. She had never been with another man.
He took her into the spare room to have sex but I was having second thoughts by then. I could hear them both moaning and the bed creaking. I couldn't stand it so left the house.
She has never made noises in my bed and this leaves me feeling incompetent. I keep wondering if he is better endowed than me. I regret it all but I don't know how to put the clock back.

Sex or Food: How Couples Should Get It Going

I can't get my husband's food ready and at the same time be his fantasy sex partner. It is not possible. One has to give way. A working class wife told me this on the phone:
'He wants his food and sex at the time I thought the 'only way to a man's heart is through his stomach'.
Well, the truth is that even after you feed your man well with the best delicacies that money can buy, with an average husband, food and sex still goes hand-in-glove.
Ladies, no matter what you think, it is what you do in bed and in other matters, apart from food, that will guarantee a sealed deal between you and your man.
I am not saying that giving him good sex is the 'only' way to set your marriage on the path of bliss. What I mean is that everything else could amount to nothing without great sex. As a matter of fact, sex is so important to your man, just as it is to other men. It will be unwise not to live up to his expectation in bed even if you are a good cook.

My Girlfrined Still Loves Her Ex

My girlfriend, I'm in a relationship for over half a year now, has some down phases the last couple of weeks. All the time I want to help getting over her problem, she tells me that I cannot do anything because she doesn't know the problem and what is wrong with her. Maybe the hormones, she says. Then again, I know from a very close friend of ours that she says, that she somewhat still loves her ex, when she is in such a phase. That she misses him. She also says that she loves me and she doesn't want to give us up due to the lenght of our relationship plus she feels more safe and secure with me. So she says that she thinks that being in a relationship with me would be the better choice. But she doesn't know that our friend told me that.

Then again she still love him. And he knows that.

I'm kind of desperate now and don't know what to do. She always tells me, that she only loves me. And that this is the truth. It seems it is really confusing her.

So are her feeling for him due to hormones? Do I have to be frightened to lose her? I don't know what to do. I know I'm jealous. But that is because I love her so much.

I'm marked with a bit mistrust in women because in my last relationhip my girlfriend cheated on me. That is why I somewhat lost faith in love before I met my current girlfriend. But I still am frightened to lose her simply because she has feeling for her ex. The biggest problem for me is that she keeps this fact (her feeling for him) a secret regarding me.

I hope you can help me in this situation.

4 Signs She’d Break Your Heart

At the start of a new relationship, it’s easy to overlook the clear cut signs that she’ll break your heart because of genuine attraction, excitement or just the fact you’re getting some action. However, with the majority of relationships destined for failure, you need to be selective and end a sour one before too much of your time and energy has been invested. For your benefit, here are 4 signs that she’ll break your heart.

1. She was already involved when she met you
The two of you hooked up when she was dating another guy or even worse–you’re dating a married woman . While it can be easy to discount logic and naysayers when you’re head-over-heels in love, but sooner or later you’ll realize that you’ll never be able to fully trust her. After all, how do you know she wouldn’t start dating someone else? A cheat is always a cheat.

2. She’s still close with her exes

If you meet a girl that is able to stay good friends with her exes and gets a lot of calls from a lot of guys who all seem very close to her, she’ll damage you. She may have some “friends with benefits” things going on with her exes, and the fact that she finds men so disposable means that she never really builds up strong relationships anyway. If you’re looking for a serious relationship, never get involved with a girl who easily switches from viewing as lovers to treating them as friends.

3. She has deep-rooted issues

Whether it’s problems with alcohol, drugs, or psychological issues, if there’s something in her life that you’re always second place to, this relationship is not going to last long.
4. She’s very secretive and lies a lot

If your girl isn’t big on telling the truth, doesn’t feel guilt over her constant lies, does whatever is “easiest” to get by rather than dealing with the truth and simply tells you what you want to hear, you should end it sooner rather than later.

Dear Readers, My wife’s become too skinny for my liking

I am longer comfortable with my wife and it is affecting our marriage. My wife used to be on the plump side. It was one of the things I fell in love with her. She typified the traditional African woman, who has the curves in the right places.

She didn’t add too much after our two children. At any rate, I wouldn’t have noticed because I was really crazy about her shape. I also didn’t hide this from her.

When some of her friends were harping on slim being the in-thing now, I warned her not to follow the trend; assured her she wasn’t fat, but just right for an ideal woman. Unfortunately, she seems not to believe me because sometime last year she enrolled in a gym. She told me it was to maintain her figure. I grudgingly allowed her to continue but warned her against being slim.

Now I can hardly recognise the woman I married as she is all bones. When I protested, she said it was the in-thing among her friends; that she doesn’t want to lose her husband. I reminded her that she doesn’t have problems with me on that score; that I want her the way she was.

The issue now is I don’t want her anymore. I want her out of my life because she is beginning to repulse me. I no longer derive pleasure in her company. Much as I love her, I am no longer happy with her and very hurt by the fact that she preferred what her friends’ husbands think than what I feel about her. I don’t know what to do because we had a very happy marriage. She knows I have never liked skinny women. She has started to complain about my lack of interest in her, but there is no way I can ever be as close to her again in her present shape. I am really trying hard not to loathe her because once I get to that point, there will nothing more for me in the marriage.

Please help me. I don’t know how to handle this challenge in my marriage of 12 years.

Vincent.

Types Of Men Women Hate

There might be ample qualities that make men irresistible. But women being the softer gender have created certain stereotypes in men that they would never want to be seen with.

We list the most common kinds of men that women love to hate. happy reading...
Thumbs down to dominant men: Gone are the days when a male dominated society used to be the way of life. So, if the next time you try to show your superiority in front of your girl, it might land you in a tight spot. Women prefer mates who're recognized by their peers for their skills, abilities, and achievements - and not those who use coercive tactics to subordinate their rivals.

Macho guys aren't always lucky: A macho guy with an angry young man personality might look good on silver screen, but when it comes to real life, women aren't game to hang around with macho dudes. A recent study claims that macho guys don't always get the girls. The study further revealed that the most aggressive guys ended up with fewer wives and children.

Keep physically starved men at bay: Men are usually physically more charged up. But when it comes to choosing a mate, women don't opt for a ravenous partner. This is maybe because for such men, intimacy is the top priority in the relationship whereas the woman continuously seeks love and romance, sans physical intimacy.

It's not that women are not keen on being intimate with their partner, but a man's intimacy inclination does plan an important role when it comes to choosing their partner. Women generally aren't too comfortable with the idea of being with a man who has intimacy on his mind throughout the day. In such relationships, things like understanding and love are secondary and intimacy is all that matters for the male partner.

Chauvinism is out completely:
An excess of anything is bad. Women don't find a chauvinistic man a great companion to spend the rest of their lives with.

There is a very thin line of demarcation between being a gentleman and chauvinist. A girl might love your care and concern, but your over chauvinistic attitude may irritate her at times. Make an attempt to give enough space to her and let the comfort zone be there as per mutual convenience.

Using slangs won't take you anywhere:
Using abusive lingo every time you indulge in a conversation might lend you a cool dude look cool in front of your male peers, but girls don't want to hang around with a abusive man. Being too abusive and stressing on using slangs too often is a 'turn off' for today's women.

Men need to realise that a woman would like to be associated with a respectful and well-behaved mate. So using excess of slang language and abusive words during conversations can backfire. The reason why women keep such partners at bay is because they find it offensive when their man gets abusive as it comes as a gesture of disrespect to the relationship.

best kissing tips

OLD MOVE: Wait until you're alone to kiss.
HOT NEW TRICK: Kiss him in public!
"Try pulling him into a corner at a party or kissing him in a super-public place, like a football game. The spontaneity makes it exciting!" — Xiomara, 16
EVEN HOTTER: Spice up a PDA peck by planting it in an unusual spot, like his inside wrist or the skin next to his collar. It's unexpected, which makes it better!

OLD MOVE: Kiss him passionately.
HOT NEW TRICK: Hold back a little!
"When I'm kissing a guy, I'll play with his hair and then pull his head back, so my lips are just slightly out of his reach. Guys love to be teased a little!" — Claire, 16
EVEN HOTTER: When you do lean in, mix it up and kiss his top lip or the corners of his mouth. It's still a little teasing — and he'll love wondering what other kissing tricks you know!

OLD MOVE: Afterward, pull away and smile.
HOT NEW TRICK: Linger for a second!
"Drag out your last kiss by cradling the back of his head in your hand or planting small kisses up his jawline. He'll be thinking about you all night!" — Whitley, 19
EVEN HOTTER: As soon as you leave, text him a smiley face (with no message). It lets him know he's on your mind too, but keeping it brief seems super-confident!

7 Lies Men Tell Always and Women Have Found Out

Women always talk about how men lie a lot and that's a fact. They will almost always lie about the size of their dicks (always big in their eye). They lie about how fantastic they are in bed and so many other lies but highlighted below are the major ones. Guys you have been decoded, enough already:
I wasn't Looking At Her: If an attractive woman walks by, every man celibate or not will look. If you ask him he will deny and cuss vehemently. Some use style to look pretending to be looking at something else. Enough boys...we know
I Make A Lot of Money: Story! some are still squatting and may not even have jobs.A man's income is not a deal breaker guys, I dont know the kind of women you meet, but what trips a woman is love, care and devotion. Money is good but it does not make a relationship so do not worry, just have potential and its good enough for us
My Phone Had No Signal: Since our networks always have problems its a good lie used by men to avoid telling you they were not even thinking about you at that moment or were out frolicking. My phone was on silent is another good one.
I Love Hanging Out With your Friends: Lies, lies, lies. Its a big lie! He can sense them from a distance and hates their girly chatter. The only time he wants them around is if he is flirty with one of them or she is well endowed for him to ogle. It's not true of all boyfriends though, but it is for most.
I Left My Wallet At Home: Na lie, e no get money. Infact na trek e trek come ya house. A guy once put me in a taxi and took a bus home. I know because I saw him in traffic at the back of the bus.
You Are Not Fat: He just lied. When you look in the mirror are you fat or not? That tells you if he just lied. He tells you how nice you look yet, he stares hungrily at the slim girl who just walked past.
I Have Stopped Watching Porn: Story! Just as many women will never admit it, so will men too. They however hide it because they dont want their partners to feeling insecure they say, but how true is this?

8 Reasons He’s Not Calling You His Girlfriend

It’s Not You, It’s Him
For a man, sometimes commitment can be a taboo subject. I myself went through a long period of ducking, dodging and running from it. As I matured, my perception changed, and instead of avoiding it, I actually began to desire it. The truth is being in a relationship isn’t a top priority for many men these days. (Especially when we can get s*x without having to be in one.) As a result, many of you reading this find yourselves in “situations” instead of relationships. You deserve to know why. It’s not you, it’s him. My goal is to help you date responsibly by equipping you with the information that you need to make great choices in the men you date and ultimately attach yourself to. Here are eight possible reasons he hasn’t called you his girlfriend.

He Already Has One
When you say that out loud it makes you chuckle a bit, right? But, the reality is, it could be true. He may not be committing to you because he is already committed. If you find yourself constantly not being able to get a hold of him, you spend little to no time at his home and all you seem to get is spur of the moment phone calls and visits, then somebody may have gotten there before you. Be careful.
He’s Just Not that Into You

It’s a little cliché, I know, but accurate nonetheless. He just might not like you enough to make you his girlfriend. (It happens a lot.) This doesn’t mean he doesn’t like you; he just doesn’t like you enough to submit to you being the only one in his life. He’ll do enough to keep you around and make you happy but not enough to leave you satisfied. There is no mystery here. Here’s a hard truth: If he wanted to be with you, he would be.

You Gave Him Benefits, Now He Just Wants to Be Friends
When I was single, I went through a period where I simply wanted to have s*x with the women I was dating. Some of them I was honest with and some of them I wasn’t. It left many of them frustrated. This leads me to my point: I am in no position to tell you what to do with your body. However, at some point, if a healthy relationship is what you seek, you must determine what he must give you in exchange for what you give him. Whether it be time or commitment, choose wisely.
He’s Too Chicken

Sometimes commitment downright scares men. It’s sad, but true. Perhaps a past relationship left a scar and he’s afraid to connect with anyone on that level again. If this is the case, be patient with him but don’t compromise your standards.

You Made It All Too Easy for Him
If you were guaranteed to make 75K a year, drive a BMW and live in an amazing condo in the middle of the city just because you graduated high school, would you feel the need to go to college? Exactly. See where I’m going with this? Many of you make his bed, make his plate and even clean his bathroom without any hint of exclusivity in your “situation.” If you become his girlfriend before you actually are his girlfriend, he has no real incentive to make you his girlfriend. Think about it and date responsibly instead of playing wife.
Your Greatness Isn’t On His Level

Even the worst of us can recognize a good woman when we meet her. That can be intimidating for some brothers. There are times where the special qualities in you frightens us, so, like cowards, we run. There is absolutely nothing you can do about this but walk away — which you should. Be who you are and let the chips fall where they may.

He Thinks He’s A Player
It’s summer, summer summertime. When the sun comes out and the clothes come off — well, he gets distracted. You better not wait around until the winter if commitment is what you desire. If he is only interested in commitment during a certain time of year, then he’s not worthy of you any day, week, month or season. It’s convenience that he desires, so don’t give it to him or wait up for it.
He’s Not Ready for the Real Thing

This isn’t always a bad thing because occasionally it takes us a little more time to see the light. The good thing about us men is that when it comes to relationships, many times we are very logical and we tend to think things all the way through before deciding to commit. You should use this time for your benefit and decide if he is someone you really want to be with — especially if he seems unsure about you. When we see something we want, we’re not usually hesitant to go after it.

HELP: How Can I Stop Cheating On My Wife?

Hello, I hope the mature men reading your blog can help me. I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world. We dated for four years before I married her three years ago. We are blessed with two kids and hoping to have more in the future. My wife is simply the best. She's caring, honest, giving, very respectful and responsible and on top of all that she's drop dead gorgeous. I wish I could show you her pictures to see but that would give me away. I couldn't have asked for a better woman. In fact my biggest prayer is when I return to this planet in another lifetime, I hope I marry the same woman. The only issue is that I am not faithful to her. I actually have never been faithful to any woman in my life but I feel this woman deserves that from me, I just don't know how to give her that. I've been with several women since we got together 7 years ago but lately I've been feeling she deserves more from me. I want to be faithful to her but I just don't know how to. I promised myself that 2013 was going to be different and I stayed faithful until last month. I've been with two other women since then, but God knows I want to stop. How do I break away from this behaviour? How do I stop myself from wanting and sleeping with other women? Serious advice only please.

The Love Story of Comedian Princess and Her Husband

Popular Nigerian female comedian, Princess, and her movie producer/director husband, Adeshola Jeremiah, tied the knot on Wednesday 8th May 2013 at the Balmoral Hall, Oregun, Lagos. It was indeed a happy day for 'Madam' Princess who had almost lost of hope of finding a husband.

Below is their very interesting love story...

On what attracted her to Adeshola Jeremiah
Well he is a quiet person and if not for the fact that I am into entertainment, I also like my privacy, I don’t like unnecessary show-off. If I go somewhere and they don’t recognize me, that is very okay by me, I just love to be myself.

How They Met
He saw me when I went for their program in Odunfa Cancus (A Yoruba Theatre Group). I went because of a friend of mine Latifat, who was also trained there. She was in UNILAG and my junior in Theatre Arts. So I went there and that was where he saw me and that was like so many years ago in 2005.

Every time I visit my friend, because they are always together, he will see me there, he couldn’t approach me, not because of my status but the fact that anytime I come I will just play with everyone for like 5 to 10 minutes and just zoom off. And I play and smile with everyone but I don’t give that chance that I am easily approachable in order not to draw unnecessary attention.

Things Were Different This Time…
Then in 2008, he was shooting his own movie, I also went there to see a friend of mine, he saw me again and went to meet that friend of mine, he told her he wanted to meet me that he would want me to play a role in the movie.

My friend discouraged him saying if he should meet me, it will look like they didn’t plan themselves well. That same year, he was with that my friend when I came to visit and he told her “I really want to marry Princess” (laughs) and my friend started laughing and she told him it’s not possible.

He kept on pestering her and told her why don’t you tell her first and lets hear what she says, she (Latifat) now said I don’t think I can tell her, Princess is my very close friend and I can’t tell her that because Princess doesn’t have time for men now and she has said it’s her work for now. But he continued disturbing her to tell me, so that day we were watching a TV program and I love cooking so she saw a dish and said this dish is very nice how I wish I could eat it now and I said oh you want me to stand up and go prepare this food, so when I went to the kitchen.

She later came into the kitchen and said she wanted to tell me something, and I said what is it, she said this person likes me and wants to marry me, so I just started laughing, it was very funny, she felt embarrassed and went back to the sitting room, I asked her why won’t I be embarrassed, when the person told you, why didn’t you just tell him Princess won’t agree and she said that’s exactly what she told the person but the person insisted.

I told her to give the person my number, and when he called I was just laughing, he asked “what’s funny”, I said nothing, he now said “well he is Latifat’s friend” and I said yes I know that, and I started bombarding him with questions just to discourage him, so he won’t call again.

So when his credit got finished, he called back again. I said this one I have been asking him many questions na wa o but its okay do I have more questions to ask? and I said yes o and started asking him more questions, I asked him questions again till 11:30 PM, he ran out of credit again and called back, and I am like where are you getting all the money for this credit, he just said “don’t worry I will call you back”, when he called back again he asked if I had more questions and I said no because it was already past midnight and we have been talking since past 6.

Friend to Fiance
That was it! We later became friends and got very close, then he said he wanted to marry me and even told me many things about myself. I was quite surprised and wondered how he got to know all about me. That was how we started and things continued but we just decided to keep everything low key. At first I felt it was low key and if he disappionts me, it won’t hurt too much, but when everything became too serious that was how everything went then we started meeting our families and I discovered that some people he knew, were also the same people I know.

On her sudden wedding announcement
Yes we have been planning it but because my sister was getting married on February 14th, we just felt that hers is the reigning wedding and they were the latest couple, so we concentrated more on hers and also we were trying to avoid the news reaching the press.

So I think 3 weeks or about a month to our wedding, we had already done the introduction and that was when we now started distributing the invitations, because we said if we give people the IVs earlier, news will go around. My husband started distributing his cards a month to the wedding but I started 2 and a half weeks to the wedding because I just said everybody will hear.

On not wanting to publicize her Wedding
The thing is, that’s the kind of person I am. I am just there, I just believe I am like every other Nigerian and even though my work has exposed me and made me to be seen or perceived as a celebrity, my partner is not a public person like that and we just didn’t want too much noise.

Even the day I sent text messages to some of my friends, the next day I started reading so many stories on the internet, and you can imagine that people wrote on the internet that Princess is getting married because she was pregnant and now she is trying to get one guy to marry her.

It was even my husband who saw it and called my attention to it. He was lying on the couch and just laughing and I was like, what’s funny and who are you chatting with?, he just said there is something they wrote on the internet and I said what, he just said it’s on Facebook, they said you are pregnant, and I said don’t mind them but I just felt bad because people sometimes naturally find it difficult to be happy for others.

Even now that I am married, I pray to have kids but you can’t start spreading rumours that somebody is getting married because they are pregnant. You don’t have an insight nor information about them, you can’t reach those people so you just write anything you want. But anyway I didn’t let that bother me, I just kept it to myself. Even when I was rehearsing for my show because we had two different dance routines and it was difficult, so I didn’t even have time to dwell on that.

On what she loves most about him
I love everything about him and he is very understanding. He understands the essence of us being on earth which is just to worship God and he is God fearing.

That’s the first thing I noticed about him and I was even surprised. I have always said If I had choice, I will marry a musician but then which musician can I now marry (laughs). He is very God fearing and at least we are not perfect but if you are God fearing, you will always know when you are doing something wrong.

Steps

Part One: Initiating a Kiss
1Drop hints that you're interested. You can put out some subtle signals that you're angling for a kiss without coming right out and saying it. Here's how to communicate it romantically:

Get caught looking (briefly) at the other person's lips.

Don't purse your lips. Keep them softly parted — not so much that you could breathe comfortably through the opening, but enough that you could bite your bottom lip easily.

Make your mouth appealing. Use chapstick or lipgloss to smooth over flaky lips, and keep your breath fresh with mints or spray. Avoid gum, which you might have to spit out awkwardly if the other person goes in for a kiss.

2Break the kiss barrier (optional). If you're feeling brave, test the waters with a small kiss on the hand or the cheek. If the other person seems interested, it's probably safe to proceed with a kiss on the mouth.

If you're kissing a girl: Take her hand and slowly lift it to your mouth. Gently press your lips into the back of your hand for 2 or 3 seconds before breaking away.

If you're kissing a guy: Lean in and plant a 2- or 3-second kiss on his cheek. Keep your lips soft, and avoid puckering like you would if you were kissing a family member. If you want your intentions to be extra clear, aim for the part of his cheek just to the side of his lips.

3Set the mood with a romantic compliment. Go big and pay the other person the sincerest compliment you can think of. If you get it right, the other person might take the lead and lean in to kiss you.

Say it in an intimate way. Lower the volume and tone of your voice slightly, and lock eyes. Not only does this communicate that you have deep feelings for this person, it entices him or her to come closer to hear you.

Focus on an alluring quality. Even if you truly think that your date is an amazing basketball player, now might not be the best time to bring it up. Instead, base your compliment on how you see your date as a romantic partner. Here are some possibilities you can try:
"You are SO beautiful."

"Your eyes drive me crazy."

"I love to see you smile."

"I can't even believe I'm lucky enough to be with you right now."

4If all else fails, go for broke and state your intentions. If your date hasn't picked up on any of your hints and you're dying to lock lips, you might as well be straightforward and just ask if you can kiss him or her. Don't worry, though — you can be direct while still being romantic and compelling. Try these phrases if you're at a loss for words:
"I'd love nothing more than to kiss you right now."

"I'm sorry if this is too forward, but I'd really like to kiss you."

"I want to kiss you so much that it is just about killing me."

5Go in for the kiss. Don't waste any time once you have the go-ahead — close your eyes, lean in and smooch! The next sections will discuss some kissing techniques, as well as how to handle kissing in different dating situations such as a first kiss or kissing after a date.

Part Two: Kissing Techniques
1Keep your lips soft. Tense puckers are for family members or people you're obligated to kiss, but keeping your mouth slightly parted and soft communicates a sense of openness.

2Do a few soft kisses. Start slow with soft, gentle kisses and skip the tongue and the teeth — for now. If your partner seems receptive, you can move forward to French kissing.

Try to avoid letting your lips smack. The noise can be distracting, and might break your immersion in the moment. If you do find yourself smacking, slow down and part your lips a bit more.

Stay light at first. Avoid smashing your lips against your date's mouth — for now. Kissing softly and gently gives the other person the chance to stop if it's uncomfortable, as well as allowing you to gauge his or her interest.

3Stay at a manageable level of saliva. Slobbery puppies are the last thing you want your date thinking of while you kiss him or her. Avoid this fate by swallowing excess saliva occasionally. If you notice that your lips are a bit too wet, pull away and discreetly purse them to bring the extra spit back into your mouth.

4"Lock" lips. If your initial kisses have gone well, try a lip lock, which can lead to closer kisses (and is a nice gateway for French kissing). Basically, you'll "stack" your lips so that (for instance) it looks like this:

Your lower lip

Your partner's lower lip

Your upper lip

Your partner's upper lip

At first, putting your date's lower lip between yours is the safest bet. Most people have larger lower lips, making them easier to grab gently with your lips.

5Make sure to breathe. Ideally, you'll be able to breathe softly through your nose while you're kissing. If that's not possible, though, break away for a second to take a breath.
Don't feel self-conscious about being out of breath or needing to take a break for a second. Breathing hard is an indication that you're nervous and excited, which your partner will probably find flattering.

6Use your hands. Don't just let your hands hang at your sides like two limp fettucini noodles — put them to good use!

Place your hands lightly on your partner's shoulders or around his or her waist. (In Western culture, girls generally put their hands on a boys shoulders while he puts his hands around her waist.)

Take the intimacy up a notch by pulling your partner in closer.

Put your hands on the sides of his or her face, using your thumb to sweep across the cheekbone, or put one hand under his or her chin and tilt it upward.

Another seriously sensual move is to put both hands around the back of your partner's head and tangle them in his or her hair, gently pulling.

7Test using tongue. Once you're in a lip lock with your partner's lower lip between both of yours, lightly run the tip of your tongue over it. If you can move it slowly, even better.

See how your partner responds. If he or she presses in closer or returns the gesture, you're probably clear to keep increasing the intensity of the kiss. If your date pulls away, maybe it's best to pull back the tongue for now and stick to lips-only kisses.

8Try French kissing (optional). Using your tongue during a kiss is, in Western culture, referred to as a French kiss. Why do the French get the credit? Who knows! Here's how to get started:
Sweep your tongue along the inside of your partner's lower lip. Try to move slowly and lightly at first, increasing speed and pressure only if your partner seems to respond well.

Slide the tip of your tongue inside your partner's mouth and gently move it against the tip of his or her tongue. Use light, darting motions and keep your tongue moving — letting it sit limply in your partner's mouth isn't appealing and will bring a quick end to the kissing.

Try deeper and harder strokes if your partner seems responsive.

9Mix it up. Don't feel obligated to keep the intensive tongue activity going forever. Alternate soft and hard, slow and fast, deep and shallow. You can even go back to using only your lips for a few minutes.
Alternating your technique will keep your partner from being able to predict what's coming next. Maintaining this sense of surprise and spontaneity helps your kisses avoid becoming stale.

10Gently nibble your partner's lips (optional). Teeth aren't a necessary element of kissing, but a grazing them over your partner's lip can introduce another unexpected element. Here are some quick pointers:
Keep the pressure as light as possible. Remember that you're aiming to nibble, not bite.

Move slowly. Again, keeping your pace gentle will help prevent accidentally chomping on your partner's lip.

When your lips are locked, place your teeth over your partner's lower lip and slowly pull back until your teeth are almost at the end of the lip. Pause for a moment, then resume kissing as usual.

Don't break out the biters too much. They should be an occasional perk, not the main attraction.

Be prepared for rejection. Not everyone likes a side of teeth with their kisses. If your partner doesn't respond well, try not to be too offended — it's probably a matter of personal taste, not a lapse in your technique.

11Increase the intensity with occasional breaks. Pull away for a moment to look into your partner's eyes, whisper something in his or her ear, or simply catch your breath and marvel at your good fortune.

Instead of putting a damper on the action, these small moments can actually make kissing more intimate. It gives your partner the sense that you see him or her as a complete person, and not simply something to kiss.

Part Three: Having Your First Kiss
1Try to pick a trustworthy partner. Smooching someone you trust can ease a lot of the anxiety of your first kiss. If you knew you were giving someone his or her first kiss you'd try to be patient and understanding, so expect the same of your partner.

Keep in mind that an awkward first kiss isn't the end of the relationship (or the world). Actually, it can build intimacy through having a shared experience. As long as you can laugh it off, you'll be fine.

Remember, everyone has gone through having their first kiss. Odds are that most people are more awkward about it than you'll be, even if you don't know it.

2Prepare your mouth. Use chapstick or lipgloss to smooth over chapped lips, and brush your teeth and tongue well. If your mouth feels a little stale, use breath mints or spray to freshen up.
Knowing that your mouth is clean and appealing can help you feel more confident about kissing.

That being said, though, don't feel like you need to obsess over cleanliness. Most mouths just "taste" warm, unless you've recently eaten something pungent (like onions or garlic) or you've just woken up in the morning.

3Don’t rush. You only get one first kiss! Unless you’re both so overwhelmed with desire that you have to kiss right now or the world will end, draw it out. It can be tremendously exciting and sensual to tease the kiss before it happens, keeping eye contact the whole time.

4Let the other person take the lead (optional). If you're nervous about not knowing the right techniques, let your partner initiate what happens during the kiss. Imitate what he or she does until you're comfortable trying your own moves.

5Take a few calculated risks. As you become more comfortable with kissing, try to take the lead on initiating kisses or working on new techniques. If your partner doesn't respond well, simply write it off as personal preference and try something else.

Part Four: Kissing After a Date
1Get close. Since the possibility of a goodbye kiss always beckons—and assuming it’s your desire—it’s best to start getting close sooner than later. Otherwise, you will find yourself saying your goodbyes with what feels like a chasm between you, making the swoop in for the kiss very conspicuous and awkward.

Guys, this is when you get the dreaded last-minute-turn-and-kiss-on-the-cheek routine, which is second only to the phrase, “You remind me of my brother,” for most-deflating date ending. As you walk your date to the car, the door, etc., put your hand (or a jacket) on your date’s shoulder or back. This breaks the touch barrier, gently lets your date know your intentions, and gives you an excuse to stand very close all at the same time.

2Watch your date’s reaction. If your date angles his or her body away from you or speeds up to create distance, don’t try to complete the goodnight kiss—and don’t let your ego make a fool of you. Simply flash a big smile, thank them for the lovely time, and go about your business. It could simply be that your date isn’t ready to kiss yet.

3Maintain eye contact. Making eye contact while standing close is a universally acknowledged indicator that a post-date kiss is about to take place.

If the eye contact becomes too long, break and reestablish it as necessary; it’s better to let your eyes dart around than subject your date to an interrogation-style stare down. One good way to break eye contact while maintaining the romance is to glance down at your date’s lips

It may feel awkward to make your desires so clear, just remember that by giving your date a heads-up, you will make the kiss go much more smoothly and improve the odds that it will turn into a glorious make out session. Trying to plant a kiss by surprise, on the other hand, may result in bumped noses and teeth, a startled pullback, and much awkwardness.

4Stop the conversation. When people get nervous, they often compensate by findinganything to talk about, killing the kissing opportunities.
While you shouldn’t try to end the conversation abruptly, which might come across as trying to get over with your goodbyes, you shouldn’t encourage your date to ramble, either.

Let the chatter die down by keeping your responses friendly but minimal.

5Consider breaking the kiss barrier. If everything is going well but you’re not quite ready to dive into full-blown romantic kissing, lean in for a hug and kiss the person on the cheek.

Don’t confuse this with a friendly peck smack in the middle the cheek; make your feelings clear by placing the kiss close to the ear or mouth and letting your lips linger for a second, or whisper something flirty in their ear with lips touching. This will help the other person know that the kiss isn't meant in a platonic context.

6Keep it simple. If this is a first kiss with this person—or, more importantly still, a first date—don’t overdo it. Keep your lips softly parted and either plant a straightforward kiss on your partner’s lips or up the ante by gently locking lips.
Resist the temptation to kiss hard or with tongue, unless you've been chasing this person for quite some time. It might seem too forward and shut down future opportunities.

7Follow your date’s lead. Pay attention to how your date responds and moves during the kiss. If they lean closer or linger, you may be able to transition into more romantic kissing; otherwise, end the kiss by pulling slowly back, reopening your eyes to make eye contact, and smiling.

Part Five: Non-Romantic Kissing
1Pucker your lips. Having your lips puckered keeps them tight and somewhat closed, indicating that you're unwilling to open your mouth for more intimacy. Most people will read a pucker as strictly platonic.

To know if you're puckering your lips correctly, kiss in the air. How loud is the kissing noise? It should be a clearly audible "pop" of your lips as you part them while sucking air in. A romantic kiss will barely make this noise because your lips are much more relaxed.

2Make your intentions clear. If you want to kiss someone on the cheek and that someone is at risk of misinterpreting your intentions, make it clear that you're not going for the mouth by turning your head off to the side before you lean in. Try to plant the kiss squarely in the middle of the cheek so that it's not veering for more romantic areas such as the ear or mouth.
If you're uncomfortable actually kissing the other person's skin, try air kissing. Lean in so that your cheek is touching the side of the other person's cheek, and kiss the air with a few quick and audible puckers. For extra effect, pull back, switch sides, and do it again.

3Keep it brief. The amount of time your lips spend on the other person's cheek or lips should be limited to whatever it takes to make that kissing noise described in the previous step—nothing more. If your lips linger, it won't seem so platonic.

4Kiss out of respect or worship. Bow or kneel before the other person. Look up in respect. Remain in this position during the kiss. Take the person's hand gently and bring it close to your lips.

6 Unconventional Tips That Could Save Your Marriage

When couples have problems with their marriages, they usually go with the more usual advice they get from friends or family. Some couples go the extra mile to talk with marriage therapists, but much of the advice they receive is wrong, says author Mort Fertel. Fertel says advice that is logical and sounds good is often ineffective, and that reconciling a broken marriage is not an intuitive process.

While I agree with the sense behind some of his teachings, most sound like he just wants aggrieved parties to an unhealthy marriage to remain in that bad situation and simply get used to it. The truth is that what works for one couple may not work for the other, and it would be best for each person to find what suits them.

On that note, I'm sharing some of the tips Fertel uses to work with couples.

Go at it ALONE. Most people think, "I need my spouse to work with me to fix our marriage." But it does not take two to tango. One person's effort can change the momentum of a marriage, and very often, it's that effort that motivates the obstinate spouse to join in the process.

The wrong question. Many people wonder, "Did I marry the right person?" But that's the wrong question. The key to succeeding in marriage is not finding the right person; it's learning to love the person you found. Love is not a mystery. Just as there are physical laws of the universe, there are also relationship laws that, depending on your behavior, dictate the outcome of your marriage. You don't have to be "lucky in love." It's not luck; it's choice.

Absence does not make the heart grow fonder. That might have been true in junior high school when you went away for the summer. But in marriage, particularly in a broken marriage, absence separates people. It creates distance, and that's the opposite of what we're trying to achieve.

Don't talk about your problems. Talking about the problems in a marriage doesn't resolve them; it makes them worse. It leads to arguments and bad will. Besides, you'll never talk yourself out of a problem that you behaved yourself into. Marriages change because people change. Say little; do much. New choices resolve marital problems; discussion don't.

Don't think marriage counseling is the answer. Marriage counseling does not work in most situations. The success rate is dismal. Most couples report being worse off after marriage counseling. One of the reasons relates to the previous point above.

Don't talk to family or friends about your situation. One of the most important values in a marriage is privacy; therefore, it's a mistake to talk about your marriage or your spouse to family or friends. It's a violation of your spouse's privacy and it's wrong.

What do you think of his tips?A
